Nike Air Bakin Black/Metallic silver – Varsity Red – Orange Blaze

Nike brings back another classic. In 1998, the Nike Air Bakin’ made national headlines when Muslim groups thought that the way ?Air? was written on the shoe looked too similar to ?Allah? written in Arabic. It is considered sacrilegious to step on “god’s name”. The groups pressured Nike into recalling thousands of shoes, covered the logos with patches and sent the pairs to the outlets. Unfortunately for Nike, there were hundreds of thousands of shoes fresh out of the factories that had the same logo. All of which were destroyed. In the end that logo cost Nike millions and the shoe became an all-time classic. This time around, the Nike Air Bakins features a ?Nike Air? logo on the back instead. Another ORIGINAL coloway release of the Air Bakin’. Great for the season! Cop em @ Citysole
