So many sneaker lovers showed up from all across Miami and different parts of the world, so you know what that means exclusive kicks weren’t hard to find. Sneaker Con NYC 2011 Recap!

It felt like sneaker head heaven in Soho this weekend at Sneaker Con. From hard to find kicks, to dope music, to lovely ladies, sneaker con is always memorable and amazing place to be. A great turn out occurred this past weekend the lines were huge circling the block and people kept coming in even after 7 the time sneaker con was suppose to end. During sneaker con even before the doors opened we had to show love to all the people waiting to get in line. We gave everyone in line Citysole bags so they could carry their sneakers and Citysole stickers for coming out and supporting the sneaker movement. For those of you who went to sneaker con in Nyc and saw our table thank you for showing us love and letting us talk to you. As we all know today is Dr. Martin Luther King day here in the USA, today we honor all the life changing and inspirational work Dr. Martin Luther King did to fight segregation in America for African Americans. Now thanks to Dr. Martin Luther Kings inspirational work he created a better, stronger, and more united America. Today, 26 NBA teams with play 13 games wearing Black and Gold Nike, Jordan, and Converse sneakers to honor today’s holiday. Some of the sneakers that will be showcased today on the court will be the Nike Air Force 1, Nike Kobe VI, Nike HyperDunk, Air Jordan 3 III, Air Jordan Take Flight, Air Jordan Melo 7, Converse Star Player, and much much more. Only days after seeing the Chuck Taylor Product(RED) in grey suede, which readers were immediately fans of, we get a look at this Leather Jacket Chuck Taylor. Dropping the first of December at select locations and at converse.com, these are yet another (Product)RED release, benefiting The Global Fund to help end AIDS in Africa.

These may look like a late to the game Thriller-inspired construction, but the red is for the aforementioned charitable cause. Motorcycle jacket leather and zippers appear all over, including down the midfoot and heel, where functional zippers appear. The zippers means it may be easier to slide out of the back of these than to tie them every time you wear them. Zig zag stitching appears throughout the side of the upper, as well as perforation. Are these worth the $200 price tag for a good cause?

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star – Strap Leather

The Chuck Taylor has seen more renditions than probably any other sneaker and there are more styles to come. So far this year Converse has been doing some creative thinking appears to be thinking and we have seen the padded collar model and now we get hit with the release of this strap high, leather model. The sneaker is fitted with a double ankle strap and also features a protruding heel tab. If you’re interested in the new and altered models that are dropping, they can be found now in white and black at select Converse retailers.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star “Padded Collar”

A new collection of Converse’s fabled Chuck Taylor All Star will hit Foot Locker mid next month as the legendary basketball sneaker gets an official revamping. The two part upper features a thick insulated collar area. In addition, a more aggressive outsole has been added. The two-part collection is part of Converse’s recent “Always On” campaign which focuses on the All Star’s storied musical history. The shoes will hit retailers on November 15th, 2009.

Just picked these up from Barneys recently, and thought it was worth a closer look. Here are some detailed pictures of the new Barneys x Converse Chuck Taylor. The quality on these shoes are on point. The black and gold patent leather combo is always pleasing to the eyes. These Chuck’s come in two other colors as well (red and white). These are now available for purchase at Barney’s locations nationwide.
