The Legit Sneaker Spot - Since 2001
Last summer saw two Nike Dunk Highs that were covered in gingham checks, but this new pair goes a different route. They’re certainly less tablecloth-y with a black denim overlay that looks an awful lot like the Born in the USA Dunk High SB that was revealed today.
Previews from Nike’s second quarter releases begin to trickle in as these new Dunk Hi’s are spotted. They feature an interesting patchwork motif throughout the entire upper, paired with a vibrant color arrangement, nylon tongue and gum outsoles. Definitely something to look forward to as the latest string of drops begin to unfold.
Nike’s Olympic pack returns in 2010 with a new design of the Dunk Hi, done up in classic Olympic colors, including red, white, and blue with a hint of gold. The kicks take on a leather upper with ripstop paneling.

Lance Armstrong is set to give the Tour de France another go this summer, and this sample makes us more than a little curious about what that will mean for Nike Sportswear. It’s Futura’s unmistakable FLOM underlay plus the white and yellow LIVESTRONG alternate palette. If you were going to describe these to your boys, you might say they look like LIVESTRONG ‘homes’, whereas last year was the ‘away’ version. This look-see sample will probably never make it to production and unfortunately the bidding has ended at $790 for these on ebay

The Nike Big Nike is definitely getting big, especially with a new release of the Nike Big Nike Hi. This time, the Nike Big Nike High comes in a white , black and crimson colorway. The shoe uses an black leather upper with a black leather swoosh. The white midsole is contrasted by a black outsole. light grey croc pattern is added to back heel of the sneaker, giving the shoe a classic look. “NIKE” is printed in black with print on it on the heel, finishing off this shoe. Great Shoe for the season
This Nike Dunk High White / Varsity Red - Black made out of smooth red leather. The shoe combines a classic shape, smooth white leather, black laces and a varsity sole. This is definitely a fresh colorway and concept for the upcoming cold months.Great Shoe for the season
Like the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic” Gold & Navy we saw last week, one pair gets treated to gold leather. The mid-panel uses a black material with reflective dots throughout is, providing a dark background for the Swoosh to work against. A gum bottom sits under a white midsole to complete the look. For the other pair, the entire upper is done up in silver, including the mid-panel, which uses a material similar to the other pair’s.

A few months ago we gave you a preview of the Urban Haze; Nike’s newest edition to their East vs West pack. The kicks feature tons of earth tones on the upper, using a combination of leathers as well, with contrasting stitching. One of my favorite details on this Dunk is the speckled Baroque Brown midsole tied together with the tongue and lining. The swoosh is done in suede, giving the kicks some class.
