Nike Zoom Kobe V – Black – Deep Forest – Varsity Maize

Posted by koutrouby on Mar 2, 2010 in Nike Kobe

The Nike Zoom Kobe V Color-fest continues with this limited colourway of the Kobe V in Black, Varsity Maize, and…Deep Forest? ‘Livestrong’ definitely comes to mind but the iridescent swoosh and shoelace panel shoot you a hint of the forest green color that works surprisingly well with the black/yellow color combo. It’s all about the angles, really; different points of view will yield different degrees of green that at some angles deliver a reptilian motif . Production for this exclusive pair will be limited and will only be available at Nike Sportswear at The Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, CA this upcoming Thursday, March 4th.

LIVESTRONG Nike Zoom Kobe IV PE

Posted by koutrouby on Mar 2, 2010 in Nike Kobe

This past weekend on Saturday, February 27th, the California Golden Bears took on the Arizona St. Sun Devils for Senior Night and managed to bring home the W and clinch their first Pac10 Conference Title in 50 Years. While this is currently the topic of discussion throughout the sporting community we’re focusing on a different aspect of the the night, the shoes. While helping his Cal Bears bring home the win Patrick Christopher was seen sporting the LIVESTRONG edition of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV which originally surfaced in photos last Summer. The photos available then weren’t the best and weren’t really color corrected, but thankfully SoleCollector had some time to catch up with Patrick Christopher after Saturday’s game for an interview and a quick photo session to provided us all with the nicest shots of these sneakers we’ve seen thus far. No need for a description here, you should all know the drill by now when it comes to LIVESTRONG editions.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee” & “Dark Knight” Release Date Changes/Information

Posted by koutrouby on Jan 22, 2010 in Nike Kobe

We’ve already seen the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee’s” release date pushed back once before. However, Nike has now decided to once again push it back- meaning it will officially release Saturday, February 6 at very select Nike accounts including House of Hoops locations nationwide. Moreover, the “Dark Knight” Nike Zoom Kobe V will take the “Bruce Lee’s” place because it SHALL release Friday, January 22 (TOMORROW) from the Harlem House of Hoops first. That is because Kobe Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers will be in the Big Apple battling the New York Knicks that day. In fact, following the game, Kobe Bryant is rumored to be heading over to the Harlem House of Hoops circa 11:30pm to be a part of the “Dark Knight” Nike Zoom Kobe V launch. The shoe will then start releasing through other House of Hoops as well (if your particular one doesn’t get it at the same time). Looks like it’ll be a big sports/sneakers day tomorrow in the city that never sleeps.

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) - Bruce Lee Edition Black-Met silver-CMT

Posted by koutrouby on Jan 22, 2010 in Nike Kobe

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) - Bruce Lee Edition Black-Met silver-CMT. Nike Zoom Kobe V pays homage to the fallen star with the Bruce Lee edition sneaker taking inspiration from the most iconic colors of Bruce Lee. The yellow and black colorways are taken directly from the jumpsuit that Lee wore in the 1978 film “The Game of Death” and it is translated on the Laker’s yellow upper, laces and midsole with black accents and Swoosh. Another graphic symbol Lee is known for is the four blood red claw marks that signify the damage he took in the 1973 film “Enter The Dragon” and that is reflected on the side of the toe section and in the red color on the heel. courtesy: Freshnessmag.com

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Martin Luther King Jr.” PE

Posted by koutrouby on Jan 19, 2010 in Nike Kobe

Last night the Los Angeles Lakers took to the court to tip off against the Orlando Magic in what turned out to be a closely played game right up to the final buzzer, with the Lakers looking like they were about to lose it there towards the end of the 3rd quarter. They finally got things back together in the 4th quarter and pulled through with a 98 to 92 victory over the Magic.

During the game Kobe Bryant and a few other Lakers sported a very special mock-up of the Zoom Kobe 5 to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one the nations most famous black leaders. The shoes are seen with a grey base and accents of black, green and red which pay tribute to the Pan-African flag.

Nike Zoom Kobe V – Bruce Lee

Posted by koutrouby on Jan 8, 2010 in Nike Kobe

The Nike Zoom Kobe V has taken an interesting route in its colourways/themes adapted from some of the greatest movie characters; take for example the Dark Knight Kobe V and Chaos Kobe V. Here are additional images of the Bruce Lee Nike Zoom Kobe V that we previewed in December of ‘09. Notice the Bruce Lee movie trademarks like the claw lacerations on the outer toe from “Enter the Dragon” and the black/yellow colors from “Game of Death.”  These are set to drop on the 16th of January, so get ready to add these to your collection.
