Who knew that the NBA’s defending scoring champion Kevin Durant wanted to be a weatherman as a kid? Imagine what the game of basketball would be without Kevin Durant so many variables have to be taken to account, but aren’t we all happy he made the right choice and stuck to basketball?

The latest Nike Zoom KD IV takes on a nostalgic inspiration from Kevin Durant’s past and present. The latest Nike Zoom KD IV takes his childhood dream of becoming weatherman and incorporates it into Durant’s current Nike basketball sneaker. The Nike Zoom KD IV “Weatherman” features Lush green uppers inspired by a green screen and features Doppler Radar readings. Also, if you take a closer look at the Doppler readings on the uppers they feature several numbers, like Durant’s scoring averages, worked into the design. Further details are included on the insoles of the sneaker; one reads “The Forecast Calls for a Thunder Storm” and the other features various weather symbols. Finally, to finish of the sneaker is a translucent outsole that displays a thermo-mapping scan of KD’s actual footprint.

On one of the photos below you can see Kevin Duarnt rocking the “Weatherman” Nike Zoom KD IV for the first time in public (Twitter) eye. If you recall, Kevin Durant stated that the “Weatherman” KD IVs are “better than the “Nerfs” in an interview with Nicekicks in Dallas.

The hype is crazy for the LeBron 9 X Freegums which defiantly did not surprise me, due to the fact the Artist Freegums (Alvaro Ilizarbe) and Nike teamed up and created an incredible sneaker. The Nike LeBron 9 “Freegums” takes on the colorway of the LeBron 9 “Scarface” colorway, but incorporates that Freegums flavor to the sneaker. The most obvious Freegums accents on the sneaker can be seen on the lining which incorporates his signature print that features Miami staples and LeBron cues. Than, when you take a closer look at the sneaker the uppers feature Freegums signature print on the White portion of the uppers. Red accents complete the sneaker on the tongue, pull tab, and LeBron logo on the laces.

Jordan hits us with another classic Jordan style for the 2011 holiday season, the Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot.” The Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot” was first seen in the 1998 Game 6 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz where Micheal Jordan took a mid air jumper from the foul line to put the Bulls ahead with 5.2 seconds left which sealed the deal for the Chicago Bulls 1998 Finals Victory. That moment where Micheal Jordan made the game winning shot not only marked one of the most memorable moments in NBA Finals history, but it also marked one of the most memorable Air Jordan’s in history as well.

The Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot” features Black nubuck around the toe box and part of the heel while tumbled leather makes up the side panel and part of the heel, both materials work well together and are placed perfectly on the sneaker. To add some color to the sneaker Red accents are featured on the Jordan Branding and midsole. Yellow accents completes the sneaker on the Ferrari inspired shield- shaped Jumpman badge.

We are witnessing greatness right now, sneaker heads are always going to remember the 2011 Jordan Brand holiday season drops. Lets being with the Air Jordan 3 III Retro “Black Flip” that no one can hate on because quality of this sneaker is spectacular from the pebbled and premium leather uppers are on point. I know how some of you fellow sneaker heads have been feeling about the quality of the retros the recent past months, but i assure you guys that you can throw all your doubts away with the Air Jordan 3 III Retro “Black Flip.”

The Air Jordan 3 III Retro “Black Flip” features Black pebbled elephant print on the uppers that starts off the sneaker. Premium leather is incorporated on lining and a perforated leather collar, which in my opinion gives the sneaker a more luxurious look. Following the release of the Nike Air Griffey Max II 3M, another Nike Air Griffey Max II colorway is dropping which will sure not disappoint you Griffey sneaker heads. The latest Nike Air Griffey Max II Black/White-Anthracite-TR Yellow colorway features to what looks like to me a Pittsburgh Pirates inspired colorway, taking on the black and yellow make up. This Nike Air Griffey Max II features Black Nubuck uppers with black accents on the outsole. Yellow accents appear on the Nike Swoosh border, tongue, and visible Max Air window on the midsole. Air Jordan 3 III Black Cement – 2011 Retro!

Few sample sneakers have produced the same kind of outcry as the Air Jordan III Retro that recently popped up in the OG ‘Black Cement’ colorway from 1988. In those images in question, the colorblocking and appearance from a distance is identical to the original, but instead of the classic mix of smooth leather mudguard/tumbled upper, they were crafted entirely in nubuck. This had purists and newcomers alike up in arms, complaining that while a revised Three is better than no Three at all, we simply want our retros to be as close as possible to their forebears. So breathe a collective sigh of release, sneakerheads, for the Air Jordan 3 will indeed hit retailers later this year in its initial makeup, the only significant difference being the heel Jumpman that separate the pre-2000 pairs from more recent drops.

Both of the Jordan Spizike “New York Knicks” colorways have sparked interest ever since they first surfaced on the web a couple of months ago. We have now learned that both colorways will hit Jordan Brand retailers on November 5, 2011 for $175 each. Each “New York Knicks” Jordan Spizike features sort of a reverse color scheme to the other. One pair owns a blue ribbon colored suede base with minimal orange flash hints and multiple black elements throughout the upper. The other contains the same texture makeup, but in a mainly orange flash upper. JB also incorporated a unique, black and white pattern on the inner lining. Will this be a definite purchase for you in early November?

American designer Jeremy Scott continues to roll out bold product selections for his self-titled adidas Originals ObyO collection, especially in the realm of footwear.

For this season, Scott designed a special edition of the JS Wings model for his Asian pop star friends, 2NE1. The popular Korean girl group receives arguably the most over-the-top version of the JS Wings to date, featuring a hodge-podge of colors and materials including bubble gum hues and faux animal fur. The signature wing attachment completes this wild shoe.
